Thank you for visiting the virtual Winona Art Walk!

The Winona Art Walk has been an annual tradition in Winona, Minnesota for 23 years. Formerly the “Christmas Art Walk,” the event is always held on the weekend before Thanksgiving, offering the opportunity to support artists in our community by shopping locally for the holidays.

One of many projects coordinated by one of River Arts Alliance's founding mothers, Bernadette Mahfood, the Winona Art Walk officially became a project of RAA in 2016 following her untimely passing. It has taken a lot of people to fill her very big shoes. We hope that she would be proud of how we are adapting in these difficult times.

In 2020, we adapted to this online format. The success of that event led us to now offer both in person and online options.

It’s a time to bump into friends, visit the studios and group site, stop by Handmade Neighborhood (also online for 2020), and share a table for lunch at the Blue Heron Coffeehouse between stops. Oh, and a time to get in some holiday shopping.

There is always something new to see at the Winona Art Walk—and this year is no exception. We are grateful for the extra effort that each artist has taken to make it feel like you are visiting their galleries and getting to know them, at least a little bit.
