Anne Scott Plummer currently lives and works in Winona, MN. Before she studied ceramics at the Rhode Island School of Design, she learned to make pottery in Provincetown, on Cape Cod, where Harry Holl was one of her mentors. After art school, she was a student of internationally known raku artist Paul Soldner at Claremont Graduate University in California. During her teaching career at Winona State University, she focused on making ceramic sculpture, often abstracted figures. She also created several multi-media installations, and the Rochester Riverfront Mural, an 81’ long cast concrete relief mural that is part of the floodwall on Minnesota’s Zumbro River. Now that she is retired from teaching, she is returning to pottery making. She loves the ceramic process and learns exciting new things with every kilnload!
